About Me

 

I grew up in Richland, a town in Washington, close to the Hanford Site which was used for the Manhattan Project during WWII. So... I might be radioactive. I'm just kidding, but it was an interesting place to live as a Japanese American. After graduating from Washington State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English, I moved to LA to pursue my goal of writing for children's television. I'm passionate about creating Japanese American characters to represent the language and culture I learned from my mother and from traveling abroad. Most recently, I finished working as a Production Coordinator for the show We Baby Bears at Cartoon Network Studios.
